World Equestrian Games Team Gold Medalist for Combined Driving

Misdee Wrigley Miller is a fourth-generation horsewoman who moved up to the advanced level in 2010. Initially, she collected top placings in the pair horse division before switching to the four-in-hand horse division in 2014. In 2018, Miller placed second at Palm Tree CDE and WEG Driving Test Event, third at Sandringham CAI, and fourth at Live Oak International. Miller is married to her husband James, a polo player and fellow driver. She also competes in coaching and American Saddlebred shows.

About the Sport

Combined driving is designed to test a driver’s ability & the horse(s)’ obedience, speed and athleticism, in three demanding phases with a carriage in tow: Driven Dressage, Marathon & Cones. The sport, conceptualized by HRH Prince Phillip, is modeled after the mounted equestrian discipline of three-day eventing or, the human equivalent of a triathlon.
